Social Reforms in Argentina:
NiUnaMenos on Femicide
ABSTRACT
This capstone explores the nature of a late 20 th century reform movement – NiUnaMenos. Specifically, it draws attention to efforts in Argentine to resolve anti-feminist activities and shows how NiUnaMenos has worked to bring more widespread awareness to the complex issues of gender inequality. Additionally, it seeks to inform the reader of the dangerous machismo culture found in Argentina today.
ABOUT ME
My name is Samantha Hoffman and I created this website during my senior year (2019-2020) of High School at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas. The contents of the website explore the extensive research that I have conducted over the course of my four years in High School, as a part of the Academy of Global Studies. The NiUnaMenos movement was particularly intriguing to me, as I am interested in social reform movements and the effect that they can have, either positive or negative, on the behavior of the masses and who is ultimately elected in their country.

ABOUT AGS
The Academy of Global Studies is a four-year program offered for Upper School Students at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas. The program requires students to consider a broader worldview, both inside and outside of the classroom. By their end of their senior year, each student will have attended a minimum of 15 extracurricular seminars, participated in four trimester-length classes in which they explore a variety of global issues, written a 20-page capstone essay which serves as an expose into the research they've conducted on their specific global issue, and used that information to construct a website to present their work to the school and broader community. Personally, the Academy of Global Studies has made me more prepared to conquer the complex global society which lies beyond High School.
